This template provides a space to create structured and organised lesson plans. 

You can use it to form an effective plan for meeting your teaching objectives. 

Using the lesson plan template 

Learning objectives 

List the objectives you want to achieve in the lesson, ensuring they’re clear, specific, and measurable. This will help you assess whether your students have met the learning outcomes.

Materials 

List all the materials you will need for the lesson, including textbooks, handouts, technology, and any other relevant materials. 

Optional warm-up activity 

Plan a brief icebreaker that will engage students and help them transition into the lesson. 

Introduction 

Outline how you will introduce the topic of the lesson and engage students’ interest. This might be by showing an example or playing an Atomi video.

‍Lesson content 

Break down the main concepts or skills that will be taught during the lesson and explain how you will teach them. This might include an Atomi lesson or practical task. 

Activity 

Plan an activity or two that will reinforce the concepts or skills learned in the lesson. 

Assessment

Explain how you will assess students’ understanding of what they’ve learnt during the lesson. This could include formative assessments or an Atomi quiz. 

Wrap up 

Describe an activity that will help students reflect on what they’ve learnt and connect the lesson to their own experiences, such as assigning an Atomi task as homework. You can also revisit your learning objectives to help consolidate what has been learnt
