Atomi raises $9 million in funding to boost innovation and support for schools

As the year draws to a close, we look to see how we can do even more in 2022. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce our recent funding endeavours. Atomi has raised AUD $9 million in a Series A funding round led by venture capital firm OIF Ventures along with a number of leading Australian investors.

At Atomi, we champion hundreds of thousands of students and teachers in their learning journey at schools across Australia and the UK. Now, we can support even more.

COVID-19 has changed the world in many ways, and education is no exception. With schools closed across the globe, teachers and educators have been compelled to reimagine the role of technology in learning.

With this funding, Atomi can empower more schools to embrace the change. Adopting a technology-enabled classroom allows students and teachers to be more efficient and effective, with enormous flow-on effects in every aspect from engagement to outcomes.

We can create more content

Our team will be able to create more lessons, quizzes and practice sessions for our existing courses, adding breadth, depth and better preparing students for their exams. We will also be able to develop content for more subjects and more year groups.

In recent years, we’ve introduced new Study Skills and Critical Thinking courses that extend beyond the curriculum, to assist students in areas critical to their success and wellbeing. This investment will see us provide more support for students outside the classroom and deliver a holistic learning experience.

We can continue to innovate

Atomi started as a video platform. Since then, we’ve pushed the boundaries to create a comprehensive learning platform, with tailored insights, custom revision sessions, AI-driven recommendations and much more. With this funding, Atomi can continue developing to provide more digital resources to improve the learning environment.
